Our Leadership

Nabil is Managing Director of HSA Yemen and a Board Member of HSA Group. He is responsible for more than 50 operating companies and 20,000 employees and overseeing the organisation’s ongoing programme of capital investment, and spearheading a range of community initiatives across Yemen. Before serving as Managing Director of HSA Yemen, Nabil was CEO of NATCO, one of HSA Yemen’s top ten operating companies. He has held other senior executive roles across the Group.

Rashad serves as Deputy Managing Director for the Southern Region at HSA Yemen, a position he has held since 1996, and as a Board Member of HSA Group since 2006. Since joining HSA Yemen in 1986, Rashad has overseen a 25-year period of growth in the business and led a significant expansion in operations across Yemen and the Middle East. Rashad has more than 35 years of professional experience from senior roles held in the FMCG and industrials sectors.

Khaled serves as Deputy Managing Director of HSA Yemen. Since joining HSA Group in 1986, he has held a number of senior positions within the organisation, including General Manager of the General Industries and Packing Company (GenPack). Before being appointed as Deputy Managing Director in 2015, Khaled served as the Technical Director for HSA Yemen. He has an outstanding track record of leading corporate operations across Yemen and the Middle East, bringing over 35 years of professional experience in the FCMG and industrial sector.

Hisham serves as Deputy Managing Director for the FMCG Strategic Business Unit at HSA Yemen. He oversees eight major companies within his portfolio. Hisham has over 20 years of experience in the FMCG industries. Prior to his current role, he was the Managing Director for Yemen Company for Ghee and Soap Industry (YCGSI) following a period as General Manager at National Company for Sponge & Plastic Industry (NCSPI).

Yasmein serves as Chief Financial Officer at HSA Yemen. She has more than 19 years of experience in finance, most recently serving as Chief Financial Officer for Emerging Markets at Procter & Gamble and holding a number of senior roles across Egypt, Switzerland and the UAE for 13 years. Prior to joining HSA Yemen in 2019, Yasmein worked at a number of multinational organisations across the EMEA region including as Regional Biscuits Category Finance Director, EMEA, at Mondelez.

Khaled currently serves as Chief Executive Officer for Strategic Industries Business Units (SBU), having joined in mid-2019. He brings over 30 years of experience in managing business strategies and organization development in the FMCG industry. Before joining HSA Yemen, he held several executive positions within the Middle East and Africa regions, namely, Franchise Senior Director Sub-Saharan Africa, General Manager at PepsiCo Levant, and several senior management positions at PepsiCo and P&G.

Diaa serves as Chief Human Resources Officer at HSA Yemen. He has more than 25 years of experience, having served in senior roles at various multinational organisations. Prior to joining HSA Yemen in 2018, Diaa held several senior positions at HP and BP, including serving as the Global head of HR Shared Services at HP. Previously, Diaa worked at the global HQ of Motorola in Chicago and at the regional EMEA HQ in London, before relocating to Dubai as their regional HR Director for Middle East and Africa (MEA).

Mohamed serves as Chief Information Officer at HSA Yemen. He has more than 20 years of experience in IT operations and technology strategies, having served in senior roles at numerous institutions spanning the financial and FCMG sectors. Prior to joining HSA Yemen in 2018, Mohamed was Chief Information and Technology Officer at Wadi Degla Group. His previous experience includes seven years as IT Director of Nile Sugar-ORASCOM Group, Cairo, as well as roles at MSCC-VISA, National Bank of Oman and the Egyptian Banking Institute.

Maamoun serves as Chief Communications Officer at HSA Yemen. Maamoun has over 22 years of experience in delivering communication strategies for several leading organisations in the Middle East. Before joining HSA Yemen in 2020, Maamoun held several senior positions at FMCG companies, most recently having spent eight years as the Head of Corporate and Marketing Communications at Almarai Company.

Lamia Farahat joined HSA Group in early 2019 as Yemen Region Chief HSE Officer, bringing more than 25 years of global experience in HSE across multinational organizations. Before joining the Group, Lamia served as Senior HSE Director for the Middle East and Asia at PepsiCo, where she led the AMENA sector HSE strategy, strengthened operational risk management, and drove large-scale transformation programs across multiple markets. Her career also includes senior roles at Cadbury and GlaxoSmithKline, where she advanced quality and safety performance standards. Lamia continues to strengthen HSE governance, embedding a culture of care across the Group’s Yemen Region operations, guided by her strategic vision, people-centric leadership, and a commitment to building resilient safety and sustainability cultures.

Mahmoud serves as Chief Legal & Compliance Officer at H.S.A. Yemen. He has more than 20 years of experience in Legal, most recently serving as Group Legal Director of Elsewedy Electric S.A.E. and practising as a legal counsel for Multinational Corporations (Oracle Egypt Ltd.), International Corporations (Alkan C.I.T. & ElSewedy Electric). Shaarawy is a Graduate of Alexandria University with a bachelor's in law. He holds a Master's in Logistics, finance and Legal affairs from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology.

Michael has been Chief International Affairs Officer for HSA Group, Yemen region, since October 2022. In his role, Michael advises the Group’s leadership on its engagement with strategic and commercial partners, supporting the Group’s growth and development of existing and new markets. Michael brings extensive experience of working with the international community. Prior to joining HSA Group, Michael was a UK diplomat for nearly four decades, serving as UK Ambassador to Kuwait, Iraq, Libya, Sudan and, most recently, Yemen. He also worked at the UK Missions to the United Nations in New York and the European Union in Brussels, among others. He is a graduate of Leeds University with a bachelor’s degree in Arabic and French.

Dr. Rabih Kamleh is the Chief R&D Officer of HSA Group. He is an expert in Food Science and Technology, Food regulations, Innovation and Sustainability. Before joining HSA, he was the Chief QA and R&D Officer for Agthia Group PJSC for 10 years. He holds over 25 years of experience. Before Agthia, He was an Assistant Professor in Food Science at the American University of Beirut, and a Research Scientist at the University of Alberta Canada, where he authored and co-authored several papers on food safety and food technology, published in peer-reviewed journals and led different research projects between universities and the industrial sector. His experience includes working as a Centre Manager at the Smallholder Livestock Rehabilitation Project – International Fund for Agricultural Development (UN), and as a food science expert for various international agencies such as WHO, ESCWA-UN, OXFAM, EU and Mercy Corps. Dr. Rabih holds a PhD in Biotechnology and Food Processing from Polytechnique de Lorraine, France. He is a Fellow at the International College for Nutrition (Canada) and a long-standing member of the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), USA.

Ahmed Sultan is leading transformative initiatives in procurement operations and driving value for the group as the Chief Procurement Officer with over 28 years of experience in Finance, Supply Chain, and Procurement. In his previous roles, he has worked as Procurement Director at Kuwait Food Company (Americana), Prior to this, as Procurement/Product Supply Lead at Mondelēz Egypt Foods, he oversaw procurement across North Africa and Lebanon. Ahmed Sultan holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from Ain Shams University and a wealth of training in leadership, finance, and procurement.

Since March 2024, Amr Maamoun has been the chief technology officer of HSA Group, Yemen region. He brings over 35 years of leadership in technology-driven transformations and specialises in aligning technology innovation with business strategy across global markets. Before joining HSA Yemen, Amr held several senior positions at PepsiCo, Danone, and Americana Foods and, most recently, was the General Manager of Product Supply at Savola Foods.

Joined HSA Yemen in 2021, Ramy Bermawy brought over 23 years of experience in marketing and sales to the group, harnessing that knowledge to develop further and optimise the HSA Yemen Marketing function as a Chief Marketing Officer. Prior to joining HSA, Ramy worked for multinational FMCG companies such as Reckitt Benckiser, Mondelez, and Henkel.
