HSA Group to run SAP digital training program for the second year, empowering young Yemeni talent

HSA Group is pleased to announce that it will partner with global technology leader SAP to host the SAP Young Professionals Program in Yemen for the second year.

25 Oct 2022 - Hayel Saeed Anam Group (HSA), one of the Middle East’s largest family-owned conglomerates, is pleased to announce that it will partner with global technology leader SAP to host the SAP Young Professionals Program in Yemen for the second year running.

In line with HSA’s commitment to unlocking the potential of Yemen’s future generations, the training initiative aims to upskill young Yemeni talent and forms a core component of a broader strategic partnership between HSA and SAP, which is focused on future-proofing the business, investing in developing HSA’s people and technology across its operations, and supporting Yemen’s communities.

The program is a pioneering global initiative of the SAP Digital Skills Center, which provides unemployed or underemployed recent university graduates with a two to three months digital skills training to become certified SAP Associate Consultants.

Participants in the program will gain hands-on experience working in Yemen’s largest and leading private company and be empowered to make a difference to the communities that HSA serves in Yemen and beyond.

“The extension of our partnership with SAP for a second year demonstrates HSA’s long-standing commitment towards Yemen’s next generation,” said Mohamed Khalifa, Chief Information and Technology Officer, HSA Group – Yemen region. “The skills and knowledge that the SAP Young Professionals Program provides will prepare and provide participants with the skills needed for a career in an increasingly demanding digital landscape. We are proud to continue to support this program and to empower the business leaders of the future.”

Alp Geckalan, Head of the Digital Skills Center, adds: “The partnership between HSA and SAP creates multiple wins at the same time: Unemployed or underemployed Yemeni graduates find a job, our SAP partners and customers find brilliant talent to accelerate digital transformation, the economy in Yemen benefits through the digital skills that have been built and SAP enhances its ecosystem.”

HSA Group partnered with the SAP Digital Skills Center in 2021 to run the inaugural SAP Young Professionals Program in Yemen. Upon completion, all 21 young Yemenis successfully graduated from the program and gained official SAP accreditation. Since then, the graduates have joined HSA Group companies in Yemen, building on the skills and experience they gained through tutelage from SAP expert instructors.
